What is special about it
The website is the contribution of the energy company BKW to the ongoing discussion about nuclear power. Centrepiece is the set of elaborate Flash animations which turn dry information into playful arrangements and simulations to be explored interactively. The setup of Contao facilitated embedding those complex objects. The website was built for growing over time by way of episodes. Contao offers a comfortable administration for the customer BKW to manage the content herself.

With their lively design and various interaction options the animations catch the attention straight away and invite to playfully experiencing scientific and statistical information. The visual experience is backed up by a lot of additional texts and links on the second level. Comments by stakeholders from the fields of science, politics and the energy business are clearly set apart as such. Except for the lavishly detailed animation the layout was intentionally kept simple in order to let the information speak for itself and to emphasize the scientific and serious character of the website as a whole.
