With pdf-template, a stored PDF file can be activated as a layout template for the PDF output.

With the extension pdf-template a PDF file can serve as a layout template for the PDF output. The template should be present in the PDF format specification 1.3. The template can contain one or more pages that are used in this order in the output pages. If more pages printed, as in the template, the last page repeats to the end of the output.

The settings will be defined in the "Website root" and they are valid on all pages below this starting point. It is possible to use different language or domain dependent PDF layouts. Depending on the layout, the edges of the text output can be set so that no header and no footer of the layout can be overridden by the articles.

TCPDF supports CSS since version 5.1.000. In Contao TCPDF the update is done in version 2.9.3, so this extension is also useful until this Contao version.

TCPDF supports only a subset of the CSS instructions, especially with the fonts are strong restrictions. So it was not appropriate to use the existing CSS files of normal pages. This extension uses a own CSS in /tl_files/tcpdf.css that can be disabled in the settings too. There is unfortunately no list of supported CSS instructions, so you must find it out self.

For operation, the plug-in extension tcpdf_ext required and will be installed automatically. This extension is based on the module FPDI, developed by Setasign (www.setasign.de) - Jan Slabon - and is published under the Apache Software License, Version 2.0.
