Hi Leo

Was testing the new image gallery (2.2.8). Nice, how it works! But i discovered a small "bug":

The first image of my gallery is shown without caption an description, both in overview and in large view...

Someone else got this "problem" too?

And: Maybe you can add to the Docu that the meta.txt file has to be saved in UTF-8 format, especially for all non-english-writers...

öhm Leo?

After updating to 2.2.10 the meta.txt files isnt' used anymore? Or did you change the structure of the file?

it does work in the online demo and on typolight.org.

Hi Tinoo,

it did not work because you have to select the folder as source (and not just a few single images in it). If you just select certain images from a folder, the meta file will not be parsed.

Gosh! Shame on me...

Very thanks, Leo! For testing purposes i deleted the gallery and started a new one... Maybe you should add this hint to the wiki...

Hi Tinoo,

now I also know why the first image was not displayed - you have to UTF-8 encode the meta.txt file (unless you are using a different encoding on your website).

Hi Leo

I did, what every Windows-User does: Open the editor (notepad), create the meta.txt file and i did save it in UTF-8 encoding...

First - i didn't save the file in UTF-8 encoding - then special chars like ä,ö,ü haven't been displayed correctly. After saving the meta.txt in utf-8 encoding an uploading again, it worked...

Except for the first picture...

Hi Tinoo,

for some reason, the editor always inserts an additional byte at the beginning of the first line when you save in UTF-8 format. I am going to google this issue. You can use the emtpy line workaround until we know why ;-)

Hi Tinoo,
