Once you have sent a preview newsletter, the Go-Back link at the top (referrer) is not working correctly and creates and endless loop - never returning to the Newsletter view screen.

A quick fix would be to make that link point to the current URL, with all the parameters correctly removed, e.g. just keep do=, table=, id= in the url.

I encountered this problem when i designed my Invitations module and I used a preview function. I also had to use this workaround in my unzip module, which unzips and returns to the same screen with a green-tick message saying successful unzip. The referrer was also incorrect in this case, as we are looping to the same page.

Thyon, I cannot reproduce this issue, either. Please make sure to use the latest TL version.

This is using both 2.5.9 (local and on a server)

1. URL before clicking the send preview button:
http://www.eventsportal.co.za/typolight/main.php?do=newsletter&table=tl_newsletter&key=send&id=5

2. URL AFTER sending preview has completed
http://www.eventsportal.co.za/typolight/main.php?do=newsletter&table=tl_newsletter&key=send&id=5&test=Send+to+info%40thyon.com

3. URL of the Go Back button, on the page shown in 2 (which points to itself without the test= parameter).
http://www.eventsportal.co.za/typolight/main.php?do=newsletter&table=tl_newsletter&key=send&id=5

PS. I've tested this with Camino and Firefox, so its not a browser problem. I get this behaviour consistently, without fail, so I'm not sure why you are unable to reproduce it.

The latest release is version 2.6beta2, by the way. I will send you the 2.6.0 release candidate.

no, that's not true. 2.5.9 is the latest version according to your maintenance module, so its a bit of semantics, but I only ever use released versions in production (not betas or RC's), as per standard software recommendations.

As these problems are occurring with 2.5.9 which the latest release for production on existing client web-sites, hence my reports.

Your reports are actually duplicate content, because these issues have been reported before and fixed in the latest release. Version 2.6beta2 is the latest release according to the changelog!

As you wish. The "bug report" forums will be replaced by a ticket system anyway :-)
