As from TYPOlight version 2.6.2, the extension repository back end client will finally be a part of the official TYPOlight distribution, bringing you the "live update for third party extensions" (see Ben's blog post). Then you can download, install and update additional modules with a few mouse clicks directly from the back end. Here's more information on the release date.

The current extension repository (the old TYPOlight wiki) will be completely removed 4 weeks after version 2.6.2 has been released. We kindly request all developers who still release or document their extensions in the old wiki to move their documents to the new wiki (or any other website of their choice) and upload their extensions to the extension repository.

I'm definitely looking forward to this! Very cool feature.

Have you thought about calling it "LiveExt." or something like that?

I have just updated some of my installations to version 2.6.2 and i don't see any extension repository in the backend.

Did I miss something?

Hi Peter and Leo,

Just a proposition, it might be interesting to use the Extension Manager to install language packs.

If a lot of translators use the repository, I might improve the core translator to create the releases automatically.
